3D Help

I want to shift the center of gravity of my Typhoon 2 3D. If I cut a section of foam out to shift the battery back about 2 inches, would the COG be radically changed? Please help!

Hi Brianna, it sounds like you want to make the plane more 'tail heavy' so it becomes more sensitive to elevator movements?
If this is the case, I would experiment first by adding some temporary weight to the tail area, before you go cutting holes in the foam. You could use modeling clay, or coins held on with tape. This will add extra overall weight of course, which isn't good, but it's only to test the new flight characteristics.
Once you've found a flight performance that you're happy with, note the new CG (the plane's new point of balance). Remove the weight and start moving the pack backwards, a bit at a time, until you can match the new CG.
Make sure that removing the foam won't weaken the fuselage in any way!
