40" Beaver Electric Parkflyer

by Nick
(Boston, MA)

I purchased this electric RC plane from www.parkhobbies.com as my second (after a basic foamie and plenty of hours on the sim).

It took about 8 hours to complete (I like to do things properly), and I added the recommended parts list they recommended (TowerPro bundle) to finish it off.

The plane looks great (just like the photo I've attached from the parkhobbies.com website) and really attracts plenty of questions down at my flying field.

It's pretty stable in the air, and with a light 1300mAh battery I can go vertical for about 5 seconds which is pretty impressive too.

Loops and rolls are fine for this, I'm not skilled enough yet to do knife-edges, but a friend of mine tried it with this RC plane and it did this manouver fine.

A great plane and certainly one I'm hoping to keep for a while (assuming I don't crash it - touch wood!)

Nice Beaver!

That looks an excellent plane Nick, good choice! Wouldn't mind one of those myself...
The thought of a Beaver being knife edged is an odd one though, I have to say! :-)
