The "Endurance" Wing Dragon

My previous versions tested how small a wing I could use yet with the aid of flaps retain the same or slower landing speed.

This version uses all the existing weight saving modifications but with a full size (i.e 4, light weight but strong Depron wing to lift a BIG 5000mAh 2s LiPo battery. Even so at just 19 ounces it still weighs 3 LESS than a standard Wing Dragon!
A test ground run gave 25 minutes at full power and since it flies well on half the aim is an endurance of 1 hour.

Actually it is all the same Wing Dragon. I have just made 4 new wings, 3 new tails and taken out all the fuselage internals - otherwise its the same!

Yesterday I flew the "Endurance" Wing Dragon from 15:16 to 16:26, that's 1hr 10 minutes under power! Pretty boring but the LiPo was still showing 7.5 volts at the end so maybe as much as 1hr 30mins is possible.

Another calm day so I went for the maximum.
1 hour 36 minutes.
That 2.75 hours in just two flights!
I've got a rather stiff neck!
