Cleaning engine carbs
by: Pete

Hey,
Yeah, old engines usually take some cleaning - if they're left for a while the oil in the fuel gums everything up and the parts won't move freely.
If you can strip it down then do, and try soaking all the parts in fresh nitro fuel, or gasoline or buy a spray solvent-based cleaner, something like brake or carb cleaner would probably do the job.
If you can't strip it down, just soak the whole engine.
Try any of those and let us know how you get on. If it's really bad you will probably need to soak in the stuff overnight, maybe longer.
