Micro RC boats -
a new kind of bath-time fun!

Micro rc boats are a fairly recent addition to the world of model radio control boating and have been made possible thanks to the rapid advance in rc technology, with components getting smaller and cheaper over the last few years.

Obviously intended as toys rather than for the serious boat modeler, these micro-sized rc boats provide a great deal of fun at a very low cost and they're ideal for any small area of water, right down to the bath tub!

Even a small garden swimming pool or medium size pond can be turned into a large-scale race course where these boats are concerned!

Like the hugely popular 'micro racer' mini rc cars, these boats have non-proportional control (ie only on/off and left/right) but amazingly have a run-time of around 10 minutes, depending on the model make of course.
The controller doubles up as the charger; a full charge takes around 45 seconds, then it's playtime!


A couple of micro rc boats


Racing two or more mini rc boats together on a small area of water such as, say, a swimming pool or pond is a great deal of fun but of course make sure that you buy them on different frequencies!
Setting up a small oval course with some anchored floats is a great way to spend some time on days when you're not in the mood for the bigger stuff!
