RC Flight Simulators

I am thinking of flying an RC Trainer and using either a Spektrum DX5e or Futaba T6EXA Radio. I would like to also purchase a flight simulator and note your review of both the Phoenix and Real flight G series.
However it seems with both these they include a TX and of course the price reflects this. Is it possible (feasible) to simply purchase the software and connect one or other of the above radios and thereby save a large amount of money.
PS Downloaded your "Beginner's Guide". It's a great help to a novice.
Regards, Peter Black

You can save a lot of money going to e-bay I bought mine there I recommend the Real flight G3.5. It's a little older but it will teach you and you can hook up you transmitter if you like.
