RC helicopter channels

I am thinking about buying some inexpensive rc helicopters for my nieces and nephew and was wondering if I have to make sure they have different channels. I only seem to see A and B listed though.

Yes, you need different channels to fly at the same time, otherwise the interference will render each heli useless!
The small infrared helicopters, like the Havoc Heli, usually come in 3 channels, A B & C. If you need to get more than 3, then unfortunately someone is going to have to sit out of the fun until their channel is free.
