RC plane battery life extension

by Chris
(Australia)

Hi there. I'm buying a battery operated RC plane off eBay, but you know how long these batteries last for. So I was wondering, is there a safe way to tap a second battery into the ciruitry to extend the flight time without anything overheating, melting or burning out?

Higher capacity
by: Pete

Hi Chris - you just need to buy a larger capacity pack ie one with a higher mAh rating. Just make sure that the voltage of the pack is within the voltage limits of the motor though.
Increasing the pack capacity means longer flight times but you won't risk any damage - the only downside is that more capacity = longer charge times.
