Transmitter Mode 1 or 2

I just purchased an rc helicopter, I'm a beginner and I was wondering which transmitter mode is the norm for most flyers? I don't want to learn the wrong way!

Transmitter Mode 1 or 2?

There's no right or wrong mode, but Mode 2 is the norm for North America and most of the world! UK fliers tend to prefer Mode 1, that's what I fly.
The chances are that your tx is Mode 2 (throttle on left), so just learn on that and stay with it!
