What size ESC and battery for GWS Slow Stick?

by Don Mitrano
(Vero Beach Fl)

I have a GWS SlOW Stick, with a AXi Gold Line Brushless Motor 2208/34, 1100kv. I got it without a speed control and battery. What do you recommend I use with this motor?

That motor is rated for a 2 or 3 cell Li-Po pack; given the lightweight nature of a Slow Stick my personal choice would be for a 2 cell (2S - 7.4V) pack, around 1100mAh capacity would suffice.
Max current for the motor is 16A (according to manufacturer specs) so an ESC with a minimum rating of 16A is needed, go for 20A to give a safe margin. Hope that helps!
