Aircraft Frequencies in Australia

by Dayan
(Malaysia)

Hi,
I'll be moving to Melbourne soon and bringing along with me my collection of RC aircraft. I am curently running on 40.790Mhz and 35.090Mhz. I understand that 40Mhz is reserved and the general RC freq. for aircraft in AU is 36Mhz. Do I have to change all my receivers or can I continue to use 40Mhz?

Hi Dayan, I can't give you a definite answer because I don't live in Australia, but I would think you'd need to move to 36MHz, as that's the only permitted rc aircraft frequency there.
I would recommend contacting a club there, you can find Victoria listings on my site at http://www.rc-airplane-world.com/victoria-rc-model-aero-clubs.html. Best of luck with the move, you're going to a great place!
