Art-Tech Wing Dragon

Very very easy to fly; with no air time at all I put it together, charged the battery, trimmed it with a few test lobs and off I went!
First few flights just going round in circles and figure 8's, by the fifth I was good enough to do loops. This plane can fly very slow or fast, is easy to fix and very tough, parts are cheap.
As a total noob I can recommend this plane - it's just so easy to fly and I've got a brushless on the way for even more power. Lots of peeps use this plane as an arial photography plane (cam plane) as it's so stable and has a good glide rate - about 17:1 I think some one said? One guy had his to 2800feet, wow! It's a definitely versatile.

Nice little plane Foxy, sounds like a good all-rounder. Let us know how she performs with the brushless in there.
Thanks for posting!

Upgraded Dragon
by: foxy

Got a Tower Pro 2408 21t and a 20 amp Wasp ESC combo for £20 and a 3s 1300 lipo in it now and it goes like stink! Way longer flights, it's got about 30-40% more power than the stock brushed speed 400 - well worth it.

Fun plane for both beginner and experienced
by: Fan of Wing Dragon

The new Wing Dragon from Hobby Lobby with the brushless motor is a great plane for a beginner to learn on and very relaxing for an experienced flyer who enjoys a reliable and stable plane. It's just fun to fly. It's just 3 channel. I would suggest a beginner do the real learning on a sturdy foam glider to become familiar with flying toward you and landing from any direction, it saves damaging a beautiful Dragon.
Replacing the stock brush motor with an inexpensive brushless on older models is worth the time and putting some lighweight 2" wheels on it makes it easy to ROG in short grass using a 3 cell Lipo battery. Just unscrew the little caps holding the wheels on and slip on a pair of larger wheels. I always put a wood plate over the opening to the receiver and the servos which allows me to put rubber bands over screws extending from the wood and around the landing gear, that way it never falls off and the bands won't let it bend easily.
When I want to relax, I fly the Wing Dragon.
