Bad luck with 4 channels and 60 engines

I had built a real nice plane that flew great. Where I fly there is the field and then a step down to the woods.
The day of the crash I started the engine and made sure that the carb was set right. I took off and made some runs close at hand and then went out farther - thats when I lost control of the plane...
The last I saw of it, it was diving straight down into the woods. When I set the radio down and aimed the antenna towards the last sighting, that's when I noticed that I forgot to pull the antenna out - the plane just lost the signal!

I went home and got a compass and got the heading and went into the woods, I finally found the wreck. The plane came down through trees taking off the wings and ended buried in the dirt. That plane would fit back in the box that it came out of! Sorry, no pictures...

Oh no Don - bummer! You're not the only one who's done it though; in the club where I used to fly, I can remember several occasions where the pilot who was just about to take off his model had to be yelled at to extend the tx antenna!!
Did you get airborne again with a new model, or did the crashed one get rebuilt?
