E-flite Blade CX helicopter
The 4 channel Blade CX helicopter from E-flite is an electric coaxial RTF helicopter that's based on its single rotor cousin, the Blade CP, which has already proved itself to be a very popular choice as an electric helicopter for both first-time pilots and advanced 3D flyers alike.
The Blade CX is set to be equally as popular; in my opinion it's one of the nicest looking coaxial radio control helicopters available and has very smooth and stable flight characteristics. This makes it a perfect rc helicopter if you've never had any experience with helicopters before.
Contra-rotating coaxial helicopters like the Blade CX make learning to fly rc helicopters quite a bit easier than the conventional tail rotor ones, simply because there is one less channel to worry about.
The two main rotors spin in opposite directions to each other thus cancelling out the forces of torque that a single spinning rotor generates. Without that torque, the helicopter fuselage doesn't have the tendency to spin round, so a tail rotor isn't needed.
The Blade CX is an RTF helicopter, that means it comes with everything installed and set up. All you need to do is supply the radio control batteries, and away you go.
Twin 180 size motors connected to a lithium-polymer (Li-Po) battery pack give this helicopter plenty of lifting power and flight times of 10-15 minutes. The small size of this helicopter makes it perfect for flying indoors, as with most other mini electric rc helicopters.
