The Cox E-Z Flyer
The Cox E-Z Flyer (no longer made, try eBay?) is a twin engine electric rc airplane that has been designed and built for the younger modeller to enjoy, or indeed anyone who wants some simple rc flying fun in the park!
The E-Z Flyer doesn't have rudder or elevator control, instead the 2-channel radio control system controls the speed of each motor, either together for climbing and diving or individually to make the plane turn left or right.
It's a very basic principle and that's why it works so well; the E-Z Flyer is recommended for kids from 12 years and up but that's not to say that dad can't enjoy it too!
The model is Ready To Fly and comes complete with a fast charger for the motor battery pack (the charger runs off a car battery so you can charge 'in the field') as well as a few spare parts.
All in all, a Cox E-Z Flyer is a great introduction to radio control flying for the kids.
