E-flite Blade mSR
Not yet available (due Sept'09), the E-flite Blade mSR ('micro Single Rotor') is an electric micro rc helicopter that further extends the E-flite Blade family very nicely, and takes micro rc helicopter flying to the next thrill level!
The E-flite Blade range of electric rc helicopters is a very popular one, and already includes easy-to-fly coaxial helicopters, such as the CX3 and mCX, and more complex collective pitch (CP) ones such as the CP Pro and Blade 400.
But the Blade mSR very cleverly bridges the gap between both types of helicopter, resulting in a single rotor rc helicopter that has the stability of a coaxial yet is as agile as a CP! This agility comes from a Bell-Hiller head design, unique to this helicopter.
This is sure to be a huge seller for E-flite - we've already seen how the Blade mCX took the micro rc helicopter world by storm when it was released, and without doubt the mSR is going to do the same.
The electronics under the hood are similar to those used in the mCX, with the 5-in-1 micro circuit board playing host to motor speed control, mixer, receiver, gyro and servos - wow!
This micro-circuitry coupled with the ultra lightweight single cell li-po battery, also as used on the mCX, means that the E-flite Blade mSR weighs in at under one ounce. This incredible weight and its durability means that the mSR won't suffer much damage in a crash, which is good news for us all!
Flying the E-flite Blade mSR, judging by the video is going to be a thrilling ride, and the manufacturers state that the helicopter isn't for the complete beginner, although anyone who's had experience with the Blade mCX or CX3 will do fine.
As with most other E-flite helicopters, the mSR is available as RTF and BNF.
