Good day Pete, is it possible whether you can explain how does an electric ducted fan work and its function in an RC jet (Goshwak jet)?

Hey Warren - an electric ducted fan (EDF) is a small multi-bladed propeller that's actually called an impeller. The impeller sits inside an outer casing that's tube-shaped, and connects directly to the electric motor inside the jet.
The impeller spins at very high RPM (revs per minute), sucking air in through the air intake(s) and expelling it out the rear, thus producing the thrust to push the jet through the air.
