Falling apart P-39

by Dave Newton
(Syracuse, Utah)

I bought an old P-39 Top Flight kit and set it up as a Russian plane. It flew great until I made one to many high speed passes. The horizontal tail surface departed, resulting a horrific crash that spread balsa and olive drab covering over the entire west side of the field.
The only things I was able to save were the .75 Tower Hobbies engine, the pilot, the wheels and the radio. I can rebuild almost any airplane after a crash, but this one went in the burn barrel!
