Havoc Heli Laser Battle Set

For some low cost micro-size aerial combat, the Havoc Heli Laser Battle Set, from Air Hogs, is a great fun product that's proved itself to be popular with young and old alike!

Air Hogs Havoc Heli Laser Battle Set

Late 2006 saw the first infrared micro helicopter hit the shops, the now-famous Silverlit Picoo Z. This palm-sized helicopter was every kid's dream - a very affordable helicopter that could be safely flown around the bedroom!
But after the release of the Picoo Z, there was very soon an influx of copies being manufactured in China, and Silverlit found themselves having to throw around some major lawsuits at the companies breaking their patents and trademarks.

The Havoc Heli Laser Battle Set contains two micro helicopters and transmitters, and these helicopters are in fact somewhat-evolved Picoo Zs - Silverlit sold the Picco Z rights to Spinmaster Toys, who now market the helicopters under their Air Hogs label, as the Havoc Heli.

Havoc Helis have, not surprisingly, been massive sellers and now the Laser Battle Set takes the fun a step or two higher! The helicopters are still infrared controlled as before, and operate in the same way with the same transmitter. But inside the helicopters the electronics now include an infrared weapon!

The infrared transmitterThe fire buttons are located on the top of the transmitter, within easy fingertip reach. When you're lined up to take the shot, hit the fire buttons and an infrared beam will be emitted from your helicopter. With any luck, you'll get a direct hit to your opponent's Havoc Heli, and send him spinning wildly out of control for a few seconds! And if your Havoc Heli suddenly starts spinning out of control, it's more than likely that you've been shot down by your opponent!
Furthermore, when you do fire you'll hear realistic machine gun sounds coming from your helicopter - an amusing touch, I think!

The Havoc Heli Laser Battle Set is, in my opinion, an excellent evolution of these already popular micro helicopters.
The set is great value for money, and given the ease of operation and durability of the helicopters, it will provide hours of endless fun for a great deal of people this season!
