Inspect your plane often, look for loose parts!

by Mark
(Coulterville, Il)

One of my first flights was with my Duraplane - I finished my first flight and was setting up for another and I noticed that my aileron servo was a bit loose. It's on top of the Duraplane in plain sight.
Well I thought it would be all right... Famous last words! I was about 100 ft up locked in a tight left when the servo pulled out of the wing turning the plane into a drill bit! It's a sick feeling knowing it's going down and you can't do anything about it! The plane slammed into a field and was destroyed.

Serious Pilot Error! Always inspect your plane after EACH flight for any problems and if one is found don't fly it until it is repaired. Never let your excitment cloud your judgment - Remember take offs are optional, landings are manditory!
