Should you lubricate bearings in outrunner type brushless motors? If so, what type oil should be used?

It's not absolutely necessary, but it will prolong motor life. If you are going to do it, a light grade of oil should be used. Model railway oil is good, and sewing machine or beard-trimmer oil also works. Don't use lubricating sprays though, such as WD40, they are not viscous enough.
