Mini RC trucks

Mini rc trucks have also come onto the scene very recently, following on the heels of mini rc cars. Both Monster Trucks and Stadium Trucks can be purchased that have been scaled down from their larger, normal-sized cousins.

The standard scale for mini radio control Monster and Stadium Trucks is 1/18 - the comparison to the other common size rc trucks can be easily seen...

...although the Team Losi 1/36 Micro-T Stadium Truck halves this size again and sits comfortably in the palm of your hand!

Two examples of good 1/18 scale trucks however are this Monster Truck and Stadium Truck - all wheel drive means that even these smaller size rc trucks can deliver top performance, just like their bigger cousins!

Another mini MT example is the PTI mini Monster Truck, shown below in comparison to a 'standard' 1/10 scale MT wheel...

...while shown below is an example of a mini rc 'Stadium' style truck, the electric RC18T from Team Associated. Like the PTI MT above, this particular truck is also 1:18 scale and 4 wheel drive with competition level performance.

The great thing about these mini rc trucks is that you don't need to know too much about model technology or maintenance to own or run one; they're purchased as RTR models so it's pretty much a case of buying the radio control gear batteries and away you go!

For not a lot of money, a mini rc truck can give you heaps of fun, without even leaving the comfort of your armchair!
