F-4U Corsair lights

Well, now I've added nav and landing lights to my Parkzone Corsair. This warbird has to be the best looking RTF park flyer for scale appearance and flight performance that has ever been put on the market.
Man, does she look great turning in on final approach! I can turn the landing lights on through the transmitter's 5th channel - very bright, and doesn't require a heavy 9 volt battery, as they operate directly from the li-po through the receiver - 72MHz or 2.4GHz!

Wow, nice work Fred! That looks awesome - were the lights a specific pack or did you just make it all up from scratch?
Do you fly at night now?? :-)

The lights I installed are simple LED's and are very bright. I used the servo wire out of a blown JR 507, and thin telephone wire. Slot the foam and sliding the wire to your prefered location will be the only time consumer, but not that bad.
5 LED lites only cost $6.85 at Radio Shack, and they have a big selection. The current only goes one way in an LED, so hook em' up right! I just did not care for the added weight of a 9 volt battery.
No night flying yet, but at dusk there's not a more gorgeous sight than when you're commin in!
