Beginners Guide To Flying RC Airplanes ebook

ParkZone Stinson Reliant SR-10

The ParkZone Stinson Reliant is the brand's first non-RTF vintage scale electric rc airplane, and follows a now familiar pattern of only being available in Bind-N-Fly (BNF) and Plug-N-Play (PNP) versions.

The ParkZone Stinson Reliant SR-10

The real Reliant SR-10 is a true classic from the late 1930s, and has a keen following today. Its easy lines and chunky look make it one of the most loved airplanes of its era and there are still a good number flying.

ParkZone have done a great job of recreating the Stinson Reliant SR-10, and the plane makes a refreshing change from the hugely popular warbird line up that has dominated the ParkZone scale range to date.
Not being supplied in RTF (Ready To Fly) form is something that the company seems to be leaning towards with their more recently released larger airplanes, such as the Wildcat and Extra 300. ParkZone have clearly been doing their market research, and the BNF/PNP-only options must be a reflection on just how many intermediate RC pilots now have DSM2 compatible transmitters for the Bind-N-Fly, or just want to use their own radio for the Plug-N-Play version.

Constructed from ParkZone's lightweight and very durable Z-Foam™, the Stinson Reliant features some good scale detailing such as molded wing ribs, scale landing gear and wheel spats, cowling and simulated radial engine, and the complete plane is finished off in an attractive color scheme typical of the period.

ParkZone Stinson Reliant details

The now-familiar powerful 480 brushless outrunner motor gives the ParkZone Stinson Reliant SR-10 ample power to perform smooth aerobatics, and the included battery with the BNF version is a 11.1V (3S) 1800mAh Li-Po pack giving around 10 minutes of flight time. Control is to four channels - motor power, ailerons, elevator and rudder - with an easy option to upgrade to five channels to include flaps; the servo pocket is already molded in to the foam and the necessary hardware (not servo) is included.
