ParkZone Sukhoi Su-26m BNF
Long overdue in my opinion, the ParkZone Sukhoi Su-26m is an incredible micro (PZ call it Ultra-Micro™) 4 channel electric rc airplane designed for full aerobatic flying on a truly miniature scale!
Primarily designed for indoor flying in venues such as school halls and gymnasiums, the 15 inch wingspan Sukhoi Su-26m really does take indoor rc airplanes to another level. Fully aerobatic, the 4 channel airplane is modeled from a Mike McConville design, Mike being one of the world's luckier guys having made a successful career from designing, building and competition flying aerobatic rc airplanes.
So with that kind of conception, the Sukhoi Su-26m could only be a success and will probably be this year's big seller.
Although aimed at indoor flying, the Su-26m can of course be flown outdoors on calmer days, and is the perfect size rc airplane to keep in the car for that quick fix of flying.
ParkZone have produced the plane as a Bind-N-Fly (BNF™) version; this means that you need your own 2.4GHz DSM2 compatible transmitter. Suitable units include the Spektrum DX5e, DX6i, DX7, DX7se, JR X9303 and 12X, and of course Spektrum module-equipped FM transmitters can also be used with the Sukhoi.
If you don't yet have a DSM2 transmitter, your cheapest option is the Spektrum DX5e, a full range 2.4GHz system at a very affordable price.
The process of binding the Sukhoi's AR6400 receiver to your transmitter takes just a few seconds, and the rock solid signal that spread spectrum rc systems provide means immediate and precise control of your airplane, without the worry of unwanted interference.
In true ParkZone style, the Sukhoi BNF comes very well packaged and the sturdy box makes an ideal transportation unit too! There's little to do to get the plane airborne, just slot the landing gear into place, charge the battery and bind.

For its power, the ParkZone Sukhoi Su-26m uses a tiny single cell 110mAh (or 130mAh) li-po battery with a brushless motor, and control surfaces are powered by ParkZone's innovative feedback potentiometers as used on their popular Ember, Vapor and Blade mCX aircraft.
For charging the battery, aside from the included single-cell charger, an option is this 4 Port charger. It's an excellent idea if you have multiple cells, and will charge four of the tiny Sukhoi cells at the same time - that's a lot of flying!

It's a fine testament to the radio control hobby that electric rc airplanes like the Sukhoi are finally here, and I'll certainly be placing an order. Indeed, I'm struggling to think of reasons why we all shouldn't have one!
