ParkZone Ultra Micro J-3 Cub
The third addition to the 'UM family', the ParkZone Ultra Micro J-3 Cub is more beginner friendly than its Ultra Micro cousins, the Sukhoi Su-26m and P-51 Mustang.
A primary difference with the Ultra Micro J-3 Cub is that it's three channel, to motor, elevator and rudder, in comparison to the Sukhoi and P-51 having ailerons as a fourth channel. This, coupled with the guaranteed stability of a high wing trainer-based airplane, is what makes it great for the novice rc pilot.
ParkZone have done a nice job with scale detailing on this little J-3 Cub, with dummy engine blocks and scale tyres and landing gear fairings. And they've even made the tail wheel steerable!
At 18 inch wingspan, the Cub is perfect for those indoor flying meets, or outdoors on perfectly calm days. Its 24g (.85oz) flying weight means that even the slightest breeze is going to adversely effect the J-3 Cub's generally stable flight characteristics.
