ParkZone Ultra Micro P-51

Micro-size rc flying just gets better, and the ParkZone Ultra Micro P-51 follows hot on the heels of their hugely successful and ground-breaking Sukhoi Su-26m aerobatic ultra micro flyer.

The ParkZone Ultra Micro P-51

With a wingspan of just under 16 inches, the Ultra Micro P-51 uses the same innovative technology as found in the Sukhoi, technology that was unthinkable just a few years ago! Powerful but featherweight coreless servo motors drive the feedback potentiometers that provide fully proportional movement to ailerons, rudder and elevator, while a single cell 120mAh li-po cell provides power to the 8.5mm brushed motor.

Anyone who's been enjoying the Sukhoi (myself included!) will just love this Ultra Micro P-51, and it's a true sign of the times that radio control flying on this miniature scale has become so accessible and affordable - great news for us all, I'm sure you'll agree!

Despite its tiny size, the flying characteristics of the ParkZone Ultra Micro P-51 are as smooth as any larger version, and of course the 4 channels make this electric rc warbird as aerobatic as the rest. Scale flying is easy, while a steerable tail wheel makes the Mustang easy to direct on the ground.

In or out?

The Ultra Micro P-51 flying indoorsElectric rc airplanes of this size and weight are without doubt best suited to indoor flying. With a flying weight of just 1.22 oz (34.6 g), it doesn't take much of a breeze to adversely effect a plane this size.
So, if you can't find a suitable indoor venue and are limited to outdoor flying then you need to wait for a completely calm day to get the best from your P-51.

But despite its size, you might be surprised at how much airspace it eats up! These ParkZone ultra micro planes are quite speedy when flown around on full throttle, and your average size back yard just isn't going to cut it. If in doubt, try an empty parking lot or public park first, then downsize your flying area as you get used to the plane's characteristics.

As with other ParkZone electric rc airplanes, the Ultra Micro P-51 is available as an RTF version and BNF version.

I dare say that the ParkZone Ultra Micro P-51 Mustang will be as big a hit as the Sukhoi, if not bigger. And knowing PZ, more warbirds will follow in the ultra-micro range soon enough. Excellent news!
