Prop to shaft

Hello!
I have 2 electric motors I want to put 2 props on but the motors are used so both motors have a...? I can't find the word.
So look at the picture which came with. You see on the shaft it has a gearwheel. How can I add the props to the motors when the gearwheel is there? Can I possibly take them off some how? Does a prop adapter fit on the shaft with a gearwheel?

You need to remove the pinion from the motor shaft before you can fit any kind of prop or adapter. They can be tough to remove, you can try heating it with a soldering iron or small flame if it won't just pull off with pliers. There's no trick other than that, the pinion will (should) slide off eventually.

You need a pinion gear puller, if you want to make the investment. They are about $20.
