Propeller sizes

Is there any where that I can go to get, or work out, what size prop should be used on a plane, eg a Mustang with a OS91FS.
Does high or low wing affect what prop should be used? Is there a formula to work out prop sizes on different planes?
Many thanks...

Prop size

Prop size really goes hand in hand with the size of motor, rather than anything else. With a badly matched prop, the motor won't perform, regardless of what model it's pulling.
90 size 4 strokes tend to favour props in the 12" - 15" range, say a 12x8 or 14x6, for example.
If there are no recommendations made for your model, I think it's a case of trial-and-error to see which works best.
I would say a large scale Mustang would require a higher pitch prop to get the faster airspeed.

Technically high wing or low wing doesn't make a direct difference to the prop size, but the style of model will determine the required performance, which will be directly effected by prop size.

Here's something that should help... http://www.top-flite.com/accys/topq5000a.html
