Some you hardly find

by Tony Lurie

Fingers, thumbs and dumb newcomer stalled somewhere on landing approach into pine forest surrounding our field .
It took five days of searching using all patterns of search including the local heli training company to try and find it on the promise of a carton of beer!
No luck 'til just meandering back to field I happened to look up at one tall pine and there it was 40 ft up!

Heli amiss with pine and electric wire.
by: Tommy gun Thompson

You know how hard it is to hit a spot in a pine tree? I found out with my Heli. But the real fun was when I hit a wire that is about 25-30 foot off the ground and about an inch in diamater. How can one hit such a small object with nothing else around?

Another plane tree!
by: Pete

Thanks for sharing, Tony! A carton of beer for a heli-search, that has to be the cheapest helicopter service ever! Glad it was recovered :-)
I just have to add a pic of my glider in a very similar situation, although this one was never 'lost' as yours was...

What is it about pine tress and rc planes??
