Spitfires like to keep on the ground

by Calum Newell
(Swalcliffe, Kent, UK)

I bought a great rc spitfire the other day and I got my dad to help me out with it. We had completed right with experts help and took it to the park for 1 hour but instead it drove along the ground like a car!
We came back later after giving the battries a charge, went back but it was the same result - in the end my dad hand lanched it instead but it slammed to the the ground, destroyed the landing gear and cut the propeller. I haven't used it since.

Don't get discouraged. Find a more suitable (slower) trainer and get some help from an experienced RC'er. You might even be able to salvage some of the gear from your Spit.
