Great plane to teach yourself to fly. This plane takes a lot of abuse - spare parts are plentiful,
the only real problem that I have is that the throttle control broke and that it's not fixable.

 Super Cub Throttle Problem

Yes, the stock Transmitter for the Super Cub does not match the quality and flying capabilities of the model. I use my Cub for aerial photography and have stripped the stock electrics and replaced with three wire servos, standard ESC and receiver and use 35 Mhz Tx. However, originally, I also snapped the toggle on the stock Tx and continued to use the Tx by drilling a very small hole into the base of the brocken toggle switch and screwing in a long self tapping screw to replace the throttle toggle. This worked ok for some time. However, something I find disappointing was the launch of the new Super Cub LP which still incorporates the same Tx with the throttle problem which was well known world wide.
