The controls

I have recently purchased a RTF Super Cub (4 CHANNEL) which I have managed to fly competently with the simulator that came with it. However, after waiting for the wind to drop I went to fly the plane but the controller channels are different on the plane to what I set on the simulator. The left throttle stick if I move it left to right it is controlling the elevator which should be on the right control stick. I've convinced myself that I've put the rear section of plane together wrong but I've looked at the diagrams in the instruction booklet and I've followed them as described. Is there something that I have done wrong, or how do I adjust the controls?

You've probably put it together correctly if it matches the pictures in the instructions!
It sounds like you just need to swap the servo leads around where they connect to the receiver. If the receiver slots aren't labelled then you'll just have to swap one connection at a time until you get it right. Be careful when you pull out each lead, try and pull on the plastic connector itself rather than on the lead.
Have a look at this page for which transmitter sticks should control which channel: http://www.rc-airplane-world.com/rc-transmitter-modes.html.

Receiver channels
by: Anonymous

The channels on the receiver
1 Slot Ailerons
2 Slot Elevator
3 Slot Throttle
4 Slot Rudder
But the connection to the receiver is important Black - Red + White Signal
Futaba Red to Red if you add extensions for all
Black to Black
White to White

Airtronics
Red to Red
Black to Black
White to Blue

JR
Red to Red
Black to Brown
White to Orange

Hitec
Red to Red
Black to black
White to Yellow

On the Futaba and the JR the White and Orange are the same and goes to the inside or facing the longer end of the receiver.
